Brown Cow

A pub in Keighley.

The back to back cottages which made up Leeds Street and Turkey Street were built around 1820. When exactly The Brown Cow came into being is difficult, since many pubs came into existence as "beer houses" and had no need to have a proper name. However, it appears that at some point, four back to back cottages were knocked through to make the pub as it now stands. Why not come down and see history for yourself!

Golden Best 3.4 Timothy Taylor's Brewery

The last of the true Pennine light milds. A crisp, amber coloured beer that makes a refreshing session ale. The smooth and creamy flavour makes it a popular choice close to the brewery, and increasingly in destination pubs across the country.

Tasting Notes: A light mild with a delicate balance of subtle flavours. An easy drinking beer with light floral notes and a smooth, creamy body.

Joblings Swinging Gibbet 4.1 Great North Eastern Brewing Company

A copper coloured, evenly balanced beer, with a good hop aroma and a fruity finish.

Tasting Notes:

Landlord 4.3 Timothy Taylor's Brewery

The drinkers' favourite, a 4.3% classic pale ale with a complex citrus and hoppy aroma

Tasting Notes: A strong classic ale with a golden amber colour. It has a scent of caramel, light fruits and roasted malt hints.

Ram Tam 4.3 Timothy Taylor's Brewery

A dark, strong beer that has a reputation as a ‘Winter Warmer’. Wholesome and satisfying, this mellow beer has body and depth, leaving a pleasant fruity afterglow. A perfect dark mild for session drinking.

Tasting Notes: Mild chocolate and roasty malts, with a bit of citrus. Light but very pleasant and well balanced.
