The Butcher & Beast, a traditional country pub nestled
in the heart of the small village of Heighington, 4 miles east of Lincoln.

The “Butcher’s” as we are affectionately known, has
everything you would expect from a country pub; great cask ales and good honest
pub food, open fires (when its cold), fantastic beer garden and heated patio
for alfresco drinking and dining, and lastly at the back of the pub a good size
restaurant, ideal for couples dining or
for groups to get together.

We may not be big from the front, but the “Butchers” just
keeps going.

We are a dog friendly pub, but unfortunately dogs are not
allowed in the restaurant but are welcome everywhere else, bar, snug and
garden.

Classic amber, English Pale Ale crafted by the fusion of luscious English Golding and Challenger hops with crisp Lincolnshire pale and chocolate malts, slowly matured to create a grainy, quaffable beer. Tasting Notes:
	Batemans XXXB (Triple XB)	4.8	Batemans Brewery
Perfectly blended, fruity tasting, classic English tawny pale ale. Tasting Notes: Classic tawny English Pale Ale, marrying flavourful Maris Otter, crystal and wheat malts with traditional Golding, spicy Challenger and floral Bobek hops to create a lush, balanced beer with peppery aroma and fruity, biscuity flavour.
	Duvel	8.5	Duvel Moortgat Brewery
Duvel is a natural beer with a subtle bitterness, a refined flavour and a distinctive hop character. The unique brewing process, which takes about 90 days, guarantees a pure character, delicate effervescence and a pleasant sweet taste of alcohol. Tasting Notes: The beer is determined by the temperature. Duvel obtains its typical bitterness by adding various varieties of aromatic Slovenian and Czech hops. We use only exclusive hops that are renowned for their constant, outstanding quality.
	Erdinger Weissbier	5.3	Erdinger Weissbrau
It is brewed using fine yeast according to a traditional recipe and, of course, in strict accordance with the Bavarian Purity Law. Tasting Notes:
	Foster's	3.7	Heineken
Foster's is the ultimate ice-cold refreshment. Its balance of subtle fruitiness and vanilla is ideal for the sweeter-toothed lager lover. The perfect session beer to enjoy with mates. Tasting Notes: A light-coloured lager style, it presents full malt character with a balanced clean hop bitterness. Combined with a slightly hoppy, but yeasty/malty nose, Foster's lager is a full bodied beer with excellent drinkability.
	Kronenbourg 1664	5.0	Heineken
Kronenbourg 1664's pleasure is in its light lemon and herbal flavours from the Alsace hops, and clean bittersweet finish. Tasting Notes: This exceptional beer originated in Alsace in Eastern France and is brewed with the exclusive Strisselspalt hop, known as the caviar of hops, which gives it its unique aromatic and fruity flavour.
