Crown Hotel

A pub serving food in Darwen.

Welcome to The Crown Pub
Matt, Zoe and Martin welcome you to The Crown Hotel in Darwen, situated just on the outskirts of Darwen town center, where we provide a wide range of live entertainment, freshly home-made and cooked food and most importantly quality beer products.

The Crown has an excellent reputation for live bands, which the landlords Matthew Worden, Martin and Zoe Evans continue to develop with the introduction of new and innovative bands and music artists from across the region which is testified by a number of bands who performed first at the Crown last year who are playing at this year’s Darwen Music Live event in May on the Main stage 2014. Blues and Acoustic Open Mic Night is held every 2nd & 4th Sunday of the month, its a fantastic evening to see new and upcoming musicians.

Cask ale has always been a popular tipple in The Crown and is now going to be bigger and better than ever after we have been awarded Cask Marque status with the continued rotation of local breweries on our free of tie hand pull combined with our 3 house cask pumps continues to allow us to provide a wide and varied range of cask ales.
Don't fancy a pint? Why not try a tea or coffee (served between certain times) combined with our free Wi-Fi (The Cloud) it’s a great place to catch up with friends or even your paper work.

Cheshire Cat 4.0 Weetwood Ales Ltd

Smooth and well-balanced with refreshing citrusy flavours. Very blonde and very easy drinking. Chester’s favourite.

Tasting Notes: Smooth, well balanced, citrus

London Pride 4.1 Fuller's Brewery

In recent years its popularity has grown to the extent that it is now Britain’s leading premium ale: a welcome fixture in many pubs and off licences around the country, and now winning new friends abroad.

Tasting Notes: Rich, smooth and elegant on the palate, it draws to a clean, satisfying finish with beautifully balanced bitterness.
