We are situated in the wonderful countryside hamlet of Riley Green near Hoghton, between Preston and Blackburn. We’re a stones throw away from the Leeds-Liverpool canal and a short distance from the famous Hoghton Tower. Were best known for our fresh and locally sourced food, which keeps our customers coming back for more as well as our Cask Marque accredited ales and our selection of World Beers. Best of British! This double award winning extra special Bitter is named after the WWII airplanes that made the famous Dam buster raids.

Tasting Notes: Brewed using pale ale and crystal malts for a rich full-bodied bitter flavour with biscuit and fruit malt aromas. The finely balanced hop character is enriched by the late addition of Styrian Goldings as a dry hop in each cask to give a more prominent floral hop aroma and warming aftertaste.

Tasting Notes: Brewed using premium grade Maris Otter malt and blend of traditional English hops including Fuggles and Goldings, giving a malty flavoured beer with a delicate dry finish
Wainwright 4.1 Wainwright

An exquisitely, golden ale, named after Alfred Wainwright, the renowned Lakeland author who was born in Blackburn.

Tasting Notes: Wainwright is a refreshing golden ale with subtle sweetness from the Maris Otter malts and the special mix of hops give a delicate citrus fruit overtone. Voted World’s Best Golden Ale at the World Beer Awards.
