Exmoor White Horse Inn

A child and dog friendly bar serving food with WiFi and a garden in Exford.

At the very heart of Exmoor, nestling by the bridge over the river Exe, you'll find the Exmoor White Horse Inn. Festooned in Virginia Creeper, this traditional 16th Century building with classic period features has been family owned and run for generations.

Kick off your boots and unwind beside one of our log fires. Choose from over 150 Malt Whiskies and a fine selection of local real ales, savour our delicious locally sourced produce, and at the end of a fantastic evening, retire to a sumptuous room full of charm and character.

It's no more than you would expect from an idyllic Inn, which offers its guests a warm and welcoming atmosphere in a true Westcountry style - a favourite all year round.

Exmoor Ale 3.8 Exmoor Ales Ltd

Beer drinkers constantly judge Ale to be their favourite tipple, making it the brewery’s bestseller.

Tasting Notes: This light chestnut-brown session beer has a fresh, grainy, biscuity nose with a hint of fresh citrus fruit in the background thanks to the use of intricate hop grist of Goldings, Challenger, Brewers Gold and Styrian Goldings

Hound Dog 4.0 Exmoor Ales Ltd

The hops are English Goldings and Slovenian Styrian Goldings, both of which offer distinctive citrus fruit notes.

Tasting Notes: The nose pulsates with a surge of lemon and lime, while there is a light touch of toffee and vanilla on the palate followed by an exquisite balance of fruity hoppiness and malt on the long bittersweet finish.
