Taste is of a well rounded and gentle ordinary bitter, a slight sweet spice is balanced by clean pine bitterness.
Tasting Notes:
Delicate blackcurrant hop is balanced by light coffee notes with no harsh bitterness or astringent bite; it all makes for a nice refreshing pint! The beer is really a modern take on the Milds that washed coal dust from the throats of miners for generation
A substantial but not overpowering best bitter, deep coloured with flavours of malt biscuit, plum fruit and a pleasant bitterness. One to sit back and enjoy at length.
A clean crisp blonde beer with a fruity smell and taste.
A deep amber beer, subtle malty, nutty and liquorice flavours combine with light tannin for that traditional brown ale bite.
Toffee and warm maltiness give way to a well rounded clean bittering and spice in a strong dark amber ale.
Today they can certainly get exotic hops from NZ to Newcastle, and have used plenty in the making of Trade Star, a tribute to the great days of trade on the Tyne.
Tasting Notes: Tropical fruit, lime, lemon, spice
Background pilsner maltiness and a hint of coffee are balanced by restrained resinous hopping and a smooth lactic mouth-feel.
Our elegant IPA benefits from late additions of cascade and centennial hops, the grain bill is enhanced with a light touch of Munich malt.
