The Great Northern is a recently refurbished freehold purchased from Greene King early 2013. The pub was renovated to a very high standard by Pub People and reopened in June of that year. The pub sits just off a junction from the busy A610 to Ripley from Nottingham and backs onto the canal, making it a hotspot in the summer. A real landmark pub, the Great Northern has always had a massive focus on real ale and now, because it's a freehold, we can offer the widest range of local and national cask ales for miles around. The pub also has a strong cider following and so a permanent selection of, at least, two ciders proves hugely successful.
