Grey Horse

A child and dog friendly pub serving food with WiFi in York.

Opposite the green on the main street of Elvington, The Grey Horse is a picture-postcard village inn dating back to the 17th century. Window boxes adorn the whitewashed frontage, and picnic tables are set outside.
You can find us six miles southeast of York on the B1228, and for visitors exploring this marvellous city the Grey Horse provides a pleasant and convenient base in two en suite bedrooms - a double and a family room - with superb comfort and full facilities.
Even closer, just over a mile away, is one of the most interesting museums in the whole region - the Yorkshire Air Museum, with its unique collection of over 40 aircraft and numerous displays, located on one of the very few original wartime bomber bases open to the public.
