The very first of Hobsons deliveries in 1993 and still a firm favourite.

Tasting Notes: The pale brown to amber medium bodied beer has a strong hop character. It's a bitter but with unconventional warm tones of malt that lingers on the palette, the complex malty flavours gives richness, balanced by the clean hoppy finish.

Citra Mosaic was first brewed as a collaborative cask special with Brew By Numbers, based in London. The beer was received so well by publicans that we decided to make it a permanent beer in keg and also do limited runs of Citra Mosaic in cans!

Tasting Notes: Hopped with Citra and Mosaic hops, this beer has a light body, mellow bitterness and full on citrusy hop. Beer is hazy as it’s unfined in order to maximise hop flavour.

The dark stout is brewed with Maris Otter malting barley sourced through our network of local growers and hop varieties Fuggles, Progress and Columbus. Seasonal on cask draught. Permanent on keg and bottle.

Dog of Two Head’ is created by Hobsons from British malting barley, and a blend of UK-grown Fuggles, Challenger, Goldings and Progress hops.

Tasting Notes: A chestnut carbonated amber traditional ale, with a modern citrus twist delivered by the British hops.

Kegged beer. Traditionally brewed craft beer, pale and easy-drinking. Crisp, pale and refreshing.

This beer is a true form of seasonality and local provenance. September celebrates the English hop harvest providing a limited window of opportunity to get the freshly picked hops from the field to the brewery to create a one-off green hopped beer. Available in cask and bottle for a limited period.

Tasting Notes: Hobsons is fortunate to live in the Hopshires region which produce more than half of the hops grown in the UK. Our friends at Brook House Hops supply us with fresh Herefordshire grown Challenger hops which are not dried in the hop kiln therefore allowing the delicate oils to create a beer with special fresh crispness and grassy, sweet fruit aromas.

Old Henry is a premium British ale. A signature brew for Henry Hobson that embodies the Hobsons art of brewing beyond their weight. Permanent in bottle and seasonal (November) in cask draught.

Tasting Notes: A rich auburn ale with complex malty flavours and a richness balanced by the clean hoppy finish.

Old Prickly is a pale ale brewed to celebrate and support the work of the British Hedgehog Preservation Society

Tasting Notes: The snuffly hedge grog is a pale ale full of hop flavour and brewed with Columbus and Lubelski hops to give this beer a complex flavour of floral and citrus notes.

Rich Ruby Porter, combining vanilla, treacle and roast malt. Seasonal on draught, permanent in bottle

Tasting Notes: Postman's Knock is a beer offering an intelligent blend of complex ingredients, the rich brown beer with a smooth fine head has a very chocolately character. The combination of subtle flavour notes of vanilla, treacle and roast malt gives an initial rich sweetness leading to a velvety chocolate finish.

In the true spirit of keeping things local, Hobsons have created a Plum Porter with a twist by using Shropshire Prune Damsons. The Shropshire Prune has been described as the essence of ‘plum’ and possibly the oldest variety of damson in the UK.

Tasting Notes: This porter delivers on provenance and intense flavour, a delicate balance of rich damson and roast malt sweetness.

Shropstar is a light and crisp pale ale. It was first brewed in 2019 as a limited Christmas brew, but proved so popular it's now permanently available in cask and bottle.

Tasting Notes: Shropstar is a pale, thirst-quenching session ale. Delivers a fruity hit with the combination of Mandarina Bavaria and Huell Melon Hops.

Our Champion Mild has a smooth character and despite being only 3.2% abv it's packed full of flavour.

Tasting Notes: Our Champion Mild has a smooth character and taste notes of chocolate malt, which gives this beer plenty of flavour and belies its strength. A British classic crafted to our brewers special recipe makes this a nutty mild.

Manor is a bitter amber ale brewed to celebrate Severn Valley Railway's Manor Class steam locomotives. Seasonal on draught, permanent in bottle

Tasting Notes: Manor is a bitter amber ale with crisp refreshing flavour and biscuit overtones.

Town Crier is a full-flavoured golden ale with a big voice.

Tasting Notes: The elegant straw coloured bitter has a hint of sweetness which is complemented by subtle hop flavours leading to a dry finish. The nose of crisp fruit is apparent with a refreshing balance of taste, a bitter which is supremely consistent and full of flavour.

Hobsons Twisted Spire is a beer with all round appeal.

Tasting Notes: Hobsons Twisted Spire is a beer with all round appeal. It's a quenching low gravity beer with a nice bitterness in flavour and refreshing bursts of hop flavour which lingers through to a crisp dry finish. The vibrant blond beer appeals to the palates of both the practised ale drinker and potential lager convert.
