The Morning Star located on Manchester Road, Swinton is a local community pub consisting of three rooms; vault, lounge and snug. The building itself is full of character and in 2010 its refurbishment has given it a new lease of life. The pub has a superb outdoor heated area that is also covered. Throughout the week, the Morning Star offers a wide range of entertainment, including a quiz on Wednesday, live music night each Friday and Karaoke on Saturday and Sunday.
