Old White Hart Inn

A child and dog friendly pub serving food with Sky TV and WiFi and a garden in Llantwit Major.

The White Hart is set in the picturesque town Square of Llantwit Major and is a short walk from the beach and historic heritage coastal path. It is a beautiful and historic pub with parts of the building dating back to 15th Century. With our large enclosed beer garden, a stone’s throw away from St Illtud Church or our seating area on the historic Square, you’re not short of a beautiful spot to while away for a few hours.

We have a small public bar which features a wood burning stove, a welcome source of warmth on a cold winter’s day. The recently modernised restaurant offers a selection of family favourites to our special boards offering a wide variety of homemade delicacy’s and lite bites catering for every appetite, including attending any dietary needs, vegetarians and vegans in which we pride ourselves on both our reputation and the quality of the dishes.
We feature a range of real ales served directly from the cask and to accompany these traditional ales, we also have a selection of lagers, cider and beers on tap.

Moving forward we are in the process of introducing a craft ale tap where we will be serving a variety of new craft ales and planned development for the large enclosed beer garden to welcome all the family in the safety of it’s environment.

6X 4.1 Wadworth Brewery

6X is our iconic ale, brewed for over 90 years with a national following of drinkers always seeking it out; it’s a beacon on the bar for many ale drinkers. 6X is the classic premium ale that has made Wadworth famous.

Tasting Notes: This hand crafted ale is a timeless amber-hued beer distinctively full bodied and eminently drinkable. The nose is malty and fruity with a balancing hoppy note. The delicious malt and fruit character emerge even more intensely on the palate with a long lingering malty finish.

Broadside 4.7 Adnams

Brewed with East Anglian malted barley and First Gold hops, Broadside is a dark ruby red beer, rich in fruitcake aromas, almonds and conserved fruit. Broadside has been a firm favourite among Adnams beers for many years now. Originally brewed to commemorate the Battle of Sole Bay, fought over 300 years ago off the coast of Southwold, it’s since earned a special place in beer drinkers’ hearts.

Tribute 4.2 St Austell Brewery

Tribute is an easy drinking pale ale.

Tasting Notes: Fresh, Orange, Grapefruit The zesty orange and grapefruit flavours are balanced with biscuit malt. The beer of South West sport, Tribute has high profile shirt sponsorships with Somerset and Gloucester CCCs as well as close relationships with both Football League clubs Plymouth and Exeter City. Tribute is also the Official Beer of South West Rugby and supports many rugby teams in the region with shirt sponsorships, plus it is the main sponsor of the Cornwall RFU whose teams are the current County Champions and holders of the Bill Beaumont Cup. We were also thrilled in 2015 for Tribute to be the main sponsor of Bristol Balloon Fiesta and in 2016 Tribute will again be a high profile partner of this wonderful event. All told, there is plenty to look forward to for Tribute in the coming year.
