Tasting Notes:
The use of a unique malt combination gives this beer a distinctive red hue and a rich, malty base in the flavour, complemented by a clean aroma and a robust bitterness from its hops.
Portobello Pilsner is an unashamedly traditional lager in the Pilsner style.Long cold fermentation and maturation with specially selected yeast is essential to achieve its fully rounded flavor.
This blend of six malts, five hops & roasted barley speaks to the diversity that has characterized the Portobello Road for almost a hundred years.
Tasting Notes: Expect coffee & chocolate notes with warming alcohol on the finish.
This mahogany coloured beer contains a complex blend of malt and hops, complemented by the addition of real marshmallows.
Tasting Notes: This results in a coffee, chocolate and marshmallow notes in both the aroma and its rich, complex and velvety flavour.
It’s a smooth, balanced bitter, which is deliciously floral with lovely coffee notes at the very end.
A boozy IPA Brewed the West (Coast) Way. A double dose of late addition American hops help develop a bracing bitterness.
Most people don’t appreciate how important water is to making beer. The clear liquid you begin with can have a dramatic influence on the amber (or golden, inky or pale) nectar that is the final brew.
Tasting Notes: Historically this meant that certain areas were known for brewing certain beers. For instance, Dublin has very alkaline water, which is perfect for dark ales & stouts - but it can’t compete with the high calcium content of the water around Pilsen for pale lagers and pilsners.
A traditional golden ale, Brewed the West Way. A blend of three malts, including premium Propino Pale, for a buttery biscuit quality and a full, smooth texture.
Tasting Notes: This richness is offset against aromas of grape & citrus and the end result is cool, slightly spicy & very refreshing.
