Prince Of Wales Bar

A pub serving food in Aberdeen.

With its low lighting, beautiful wood-panelled walls and an atmosphere steeped in tradition, The Prince of Wales is a homely, welcoming place to escape the bustle of the city and enjoy a pint of Belhaven Best Extra Cold whilst putting your feet up. A natural place for a chin-wag, it's a long-standing meeting point for Orcadians and Shetlanders after they arrive at the nearby ferry terminal as well as any Aberdonian who appreciates the good things in life. The only time the lively conversation stops is during the pub quiz on a Monday night, with its £50 Gift Card for first place winners, £30 for second place and £10 for third place. As well as this there is also the varied live music on a Sunday.

Bitter & Twisted 3.8 Harviestoun Brewery

Bitter & Twisted was allegedly named after the brewer’s wife. A refreshingly lively blonde beer with a tingly, lemony finish, it goes down a whole lot better than his little joke did.

Tasting Notes: There’s some caramel malt in here for a hint of sweetness, along with a few oats to add some body to the brew. And that beautiful, fruity aroma you’re getting comes from a delicate balance of Hersbrucker, Celeia, Perle and Bobek hops. This is the connoisseur's session beer par excellence.

Dark Island 4.6 Orkney Brewery

Dark Island is an iconic beer: a standard-bearer for traditional Scottish ales. In cask, this beer has twice won CAMRA’s Champion Beer of Scotland

Tasting Notes: Exhibiting a ripe fruity chocolate nose, Dark island is balanced by flavours of dark chocolate, dried fruits, figs and nuts.
