An award-winning cask conditioned traditional dark mild. Well balanced malt and hops gives a pleasant aroma and taste, with splendid roasted bitter flavours.

Tasting Notes: Black Dog is a traditional dark mild at 3.6%ABV. It has many CAMRA awards to its name and is a well-known brand in the free-trade. The beer is well balanced with a full roast flavour. The use of crystal malt and roast barley give a deep underlying characteristic flavour, which is balanced with Fuggles hops as the sole variety.

Malty and fruity aroma with a satisfying flavour and bitter finish, Cambridge Bitter is the main brand beer at an ABV of 3.8%.

Tasting Notes: A mild brown bitter with a good balance of malt and hop character give a pleasing session drink. The finest pale ale malt (made from Maris Otter barley) is blended with torrified wheat, invert sugar and a small amount of roast barley, to ensure consistent colour. Hops used are English Fuggles and challenger, a blend that gives a full hop character to the beer.

The beer is brewed at 4.5% abv and has a refreshing palate with a fresh light hop character. A very pale beer brewed using Pale Ale malt only, hops used are English Fuggles, Progress and Goldings and an American hop, Willamette.

Tasting Notes: 

It is now a permanently available brew with an abv of 4.3%. Brewed with well-roasted malts & generous amounts of English hops, for a satisfying finish.

Tasting Notes: The use of Wheat malt as well as finest Pale maris Otter malt results in a full rich malty flavour. Challenger hops give good depth to the bitter finish of the beer.

Pale in colour with prominent hoppy palate and full flavoured finish, Golden Newt is a pale session bitter of 4.1% ABV.

Tasting Notes: The beer has a prominent hop character; a blend of Fuggles, Goldings and Cascade has been used in the recipe to bring the delicate hop flavour and aroma to the fore. The use of Cascade gives a pleasing citrus aroma. Finest pale Maris Otter malt has been blended with wheat malt and rye crystal to provide a full flavoured beer. The lavish use of late hop dominates the malt flavour and results in a satisfying pint.

North Brink Porter is a traditional style English cask porter at 5.0% abv

Tasting Notes: It is a dark ruby red colour made from Pale Ale, Crystal, Amber and Chocolate malts. The full coffee like dryness of the roasted malt is complimented by English Fuggles hops.

Snake Slayer is a cask conditioned dry stout with an abv of 4.5%.

Tasting Notes: The recipe uses five different malt types including Amber, Chocolate & Crystal. To give further roast character Crystal Rye malt is also used. The full roasted notes of the malts are complimented by Fuggles hops and a small late addition of Challenger.

Snickalmas is a Christmas ale at 5.0%abv.

Tasting Notes: A full bodied deep brown bitter with a fruity aroma, the recipe uses Pale Ale Malt, Torrefied Wheat and Roasted Barley. The hops are a blend of Fuggles and Challenger as main hops in the copper with a late hop addition of Goldings.

Well hopped bitter with a full flavoured finish. Brewed annually to celebrate the Whittlesey Straw Beer Festival!

A truly traditional style English Bitter Ale, a blend of finest Pale Ale, Amber and Crystal malt is used for the fruity malty flavour and generous portions of English Hop varieties (Challenger, Goldings and Fuggles) to give a well developed hop character.
