Originally known as Arkell’s Best Bitter Beer. First brewed in 1910 and affectionately known as BBB or 3B by customers ever since. A copper coloured Ale with a pleasant fruity and malty nose. It has a lingering bittersweet flavour of balanced Maris Otter and crystal malt to give a nuttyness and traditional Fuggles and Golding hops for bitterness.
Tasting Notes: Bittersweet with Long dry aftertaste
Barnsey (4.5% vol) is a truly rewarding and enjoyable beer, carefully brewed using a mix of Maris Otter, Chocolate, and Crystal malts together with Bramling Cross hops. Barnsey contains wheat and barley malt.
Tasting Notes: Rich in fruit with hints of chocolate, Barnsey is a full-bodied dark ale that is both complex and deeply satisfying.
A distinctive rich malty taste bursting with toffee character, fruity aroma and deliciously smooth.
Tasting Notes: Auburn Copper in colour with a distinctive malty and toffee taste.
Pedigree. Now with added personality. They haven’t changed the taste. Just how it looks. So welcome to the new-look Pedigree, or “P” as it was first known. Strange that, looking back.
Tasting Notes: Anyway, it has a fascinating aroma, with a palate of biscuit malt, spicy hops and light fruitiness. It was renamed in a staff competition back in George Peard’s day. He was the Head Brewer at the time – that’s him on the clip. Cheers George.
