Built in the 1970's, The Sherwood Ranger stands in a pleasant, countryside position in Ravenshead, Nottinghamshire. Described by its current hosts, Elaine & Terry Pownall, as "A real pub, with real ale and real food, for real people," it is the community pub meeting place for such local groups such as 'The Ravenshead Reds, the theatre group and the scouts, as well as home to certain theme nights. The beautiful pub is available for hire for private functions and covers a wide range of entertainment. All food is fresh and home cooked, and a variety of wines, beers, spirits and soft drinks are on offer in its two bars. The pub also has a large car park to cater for many people!
