The Blue Boar Inn was built in the 1940's completed during the early part of the Second World War. It was built behind the old Blue Boar, a lot smaller establishment, which was then demolished. At the time, the road outside was the main A5, and the new Blue Boar became a very busy pub.
After a series of landlords, the Blue Boar was bought by the Sperrin brothers Craig, Warren and Treeve in April 1997. The Churchill's restaurant was opened Christmas 1997 and boasts 100 seats. Bed and Breakfast accommodation was opened 2001.
