You merely have to scratch the surface of the Camden Head’s illustrious history to reveal a fascinating connection with music hall. The legendary rock band The Kinks used to use the Camden Head as rehearsal space in the 1960s. A few yards away on Islington Green, in what is now a branch of Waterstone's, once stood a Collins Music Hall. It functioned from 1862 to 1958, making it London’s last operating music hall.
