The Counting House was built in 1893 as Prescott's Bank, and the foundations rest partly on the North sleeper wall of a 2,000 year old Roman basilica.
Certainly there's plenty of history to the place, and even more recently, the magnificent building has found fame - it's been used in film-making and even hosted a Parliamentary debate.
By day of course, it's a Fuller's Ale and Pie pub - with a spectacular island bar, an overlooking gallery, and private function rooms at every turn.
