A dog friendly pub serving food in Grundisburgh.

The Dog is an award winning public house, restaurant and bar, situated in the picturesque Suffolk village of Grundisburgh between Woodbridge and Ipswich.

Dogs and children very welcome. We are closed Mondays. Booking is strongly recommended.

Adnams Southwold Bitter 3.7 Adnams

Southwold Bitter is a beautiful copper-coloured beer, late and dry-hopped with Fuggles for a distinctive, lingering hoppiness. Brewed with the finest East Anglian Pale Ale malt barley, sourced locally to the brewery. We use Fuggles hops which we add late in the boil to preserve the herbal flavours of this traditional English hop. We add more Fuggles to each cask so that the flavour of the hops infuses into the beer. It’s a perfect 3.7% abv in cask and 4.1% abv in bottle and can.

Ghost Ship 4.5 Adnams

Ghost Ship is inspired by one of Adnams’ most haunted pubs in one of the UK’s most haunted villages, the Bell at Walberswick.It's a Pale Ale with a pithy bitterness and a malty backbone.

Tasting Notes: This is a Pale Ale with a pithy bitterness and a malty backbone. Brewed with a selection of malts – Pale Ale, Rye Crystal and Cara – Adnams use Citra and a blend of other American hop varieties to create some great citrus flavours

Victoria Bitter 3.6 Earl Soham Brewery

Light, hoppy and bitter. Brewed using a standard pale malt and crystal malt mix with Goldings and Fuggles hops.
