The Freshfield is a shabby chic real ale house, with no less than 14 real ales on the bar... Whether you're into your ales or not, is no problem, as you can enjoy our fantastic wine range, or sample some of our wonderful spirits... We're proud of food too, and booking is advisable for the weekends. Come rain or shine, we've got it covered, with our beautiful courtyard area, or our real open fire... We've even got some blankets to keep you snug!

The drinkers' favourite, a 4.3% classic pale ale with a complex citrus and hoppy aroma Tasting Notes: A strong classic ale with a golden amber colour. It has a scent of caramel, light fruits and roasted malt hints.

A distinctive rich malty taste bursting with toffee character, fruity aroma and deliciously smooth. Tasting Notes: Auburn Copper in colour with a distinctive malty and toffee taste.

A full bodied beer with redcurrant and blackcurrant flavours, along with a malted toffee taste. A crisp bitter finish. Tasting Notes: This seasonal favourite it a full bodied copper ale that has a malted toffee taste and a crisp bitter finish.

Hoppy Pale Ale Tasting Notes: This very pale, hoppy ale is made from low colour malt. A combination of Cascade, Columbus & Amarillo hops produce an intensely aromatic and resinous finish.
