The Hammer & Pincers

A child friendly pub serving food with Sky TV and WiFi and a garden in Sheffield.

Our historic stone-built pub is one of the most recognisable in Sheffield. Nestled between the edge of the Peak District and the university campus, the Hammer is a draw for anyone hitting the hills or the books. Walkers, students and regulars alike gather here to enjoy a banter over some beers and hearty pub-food, either cosied up to the fire in winter or outside soaking up the rays in summer. Plus there's always something going on, whether it's a bit of live sport on the box or our regular quiz night.

Best Bitter 3.8 Black Sheep Brewery Plc

The original stalwart of the Black Sheep range. First brewed in 1992, Best Bitter is the iconic Yorkshire Bitter devised and created to offer beer with real flavour and bite. A different breed

Tasting Notes: Brewed with whole flower English hops, Best Bitter packs a genuine spiky bitterness with big character. Challenger, Goldings and Fuggle hops blend to create a beautiful aroma and flavour with kicks of grassy freshness and a big peppery punch. The Maris Otter malt offers a light sweetness that balances against those big bitter characters.

Moonshine 4.3 Abbeydale Brewery Ltd

A multi award winning beer and Champion beer of Yorkshire 2012

Tasting Notes: A beautifully balanced pale straw-coloured premium bitter. Distinctive floral aroma, leading to a predominantly citrus taste, with grapefruit and lemons to the fore. A quenching bitter finish. Our most popular beer!
