The Horseshoe Inn

A pub serving food in Shipston-on-Stour.

The Horseshoe Inn is an early 17th Century Coaching Inn in the Historic Market Town of Shipston on Stour which nestles on the north edge of the glorious Cotswold hills.

We are a 'REAL pub serving REAL food'. We buy as much of our produce from local suppliers as we can, thereby ensuring freshness and quality at all times. We like to give customers what they want - quality food & generous portions at affordable prices.

At the heart of our ethos is the fact that pubs should be fun places to be where people of all generations and backgrounds can mix in convivial surroundings and enjoy friendly 'banter'.

We are not a 'sports bar', but that's not to say we never show the television - for example, during the 6 Nations Rugby tournament & Cheltenham meeting, our TV certainly does come out 'to play'. Similarly, the jukebox is not played at lunchtimes, but does help to create a party atmosphere on weekend evenings.

We encourage traditional pub games including Cribbage, Dominoes and Aunt Sally.

We also provide free Wi-Fi access

HPA 4.0 Wye Valley Brewery Ltd

HPA is an easy-going real ale that brings people together. Our brewers have let locally grown Target and Celeia hops hang out with Maris Otter pale malt to give this understated brew its pale straw colour, citrus hop aroma and a balanced bitter finish.

Tasting Notes: HPA is a truly delightful pale ale. It’s smooth on the palate, and boasts a citrus hop aroma leading to a balanced bitter finish. Locally grown Target and Celeia hops play an important part in making this such a distinctive beer. With Maris Otter pale malt and malted wheat also being used, this is very much a pale ale with all the right ingredients.

Landlord 4.3 Timothy Taylor's Brewery

The drinkers' favourite, a 4.3% classic pale ale with a complex citrus and hoppy aroma

Tasting Notes: A strong classic ale with a golden amber colour. It has a scent of caramel, light fruits and roasted malt hints.
