The New Billesley

A pub serving food with Sky TV in Birmingham.

Set in a good suburb of Birmingham, The Billesley is well known for it's quality food. We opened as a Hungry Horse & Carvery late Spring 2013. An attractive, substantial venue, mood lighting and soft background music, along with a pale neutral colour scheme go to creating a relaxing environment, with various seating choices such as sofas, butchers benches and freestanding tables and chairs of various sizes, so you can choose where to sit to suit your needs. Outdoors we have facilities such as a fantastic al fresco dining area, a heated smoking area, and to keep children amused an outside play area. Friendly staff serve you good food from an extensive main menu, with value meals always available plus our daily cavery. The Billesley was formerly a Coaching Inn and in the 1950's, a hotel. These rooms have now been converted to two large function rooms and we are a popular venue for all occasions and events. We can also merge the two rooms into one. For smaller events, corporate meals etc., an area of the restaurant can be sectioned off to create a further private space. Looking for a relaxed and friendly place to have a good time? The Billesley fits the bill.

Drink % Brewery
Birra Moretti 4.6 Heineken

The ultimate Italian lager since 1859, Birra Moretti’s special blend of high quality hops creates a smooth, full bodied beer with wholemeal bread top notes which are cut by a delicate citrus note.

Tasting Notes: It is a bottom fermented beer with a golden colour. This colouring is a result of the type of malt used in brewing. Its alcohol content is 4.6% alcohol by volume. It is not a strong beer and is therefore perfect for drinking at lunch, at dinner or for evenings out with friends

Carling 4.0 Coors Brewers Ltd

The masterful blend that balances depth of flavour with the thirst quenching refreshment of the UK’s no.1 lager

Tasting Notes:

Greene King IPA 3.6 Greene King PLC

An easy drinking, refreshing IPA with a hoppy taste, and aroma to give a clean dry finish

Tasting Notes: Tawny Amber in colour with a hoppy taste and aroma.

Guinness Draught 4.2 Diageo

Rich and creamy. Distinctive, Ruby Red colour. Velvety in its finish. This iconic beer was developed in 1959 and launched as a celebration of the 200 years anniversary of Arthur Guinness signing his 9,000-year lease.

Tasting Notes: Aroma: Sweet smelling with a coffee and malty nose
Flavour: Perfect balance of bitter and sweet with malt and roast characters Palate: Smooth, creamy and balanced

John Smiths Extra Smooth 3.6 John Smith's Brewery

John Smith’s Extra Smooth was launched in 1993 and is now the nation's number 1 ale.

Tasting Notes: The boffins say it has a distinct cereal character, with malty, caramel notes being complemented by some fruitiness. But we just think it’s a right good pint.
