Betty Stogs 4.0 Skinner's Brewery

A quirky character yes, from Cornish folklore, Betty Stogs was reputedly full-bodied, golden-hearted and just a little fruity. So, you can see why we chose to name our award-winning, smooth-drinking amber ale after her.

Tasting Notes: With whole-flower Celeia, Northdown and Aurora hops alongside malted barley and wheat, this is a Cornish twist on a classic smooth-drinking ale. The light malty aroma leads to a floral, even cedar taste, and a sharp tang of bitter grapefruit leaves a lasting impression; just like Betty herself…

Cornish Knocker 4.5 The Old Ale House - do not use

Cornish Knocker was Skinner’s first ale. It’s a golden ale brewed with Cornish water; whole-flower Celeia, Northdown and Aurora hops; Cornish malted barley and wheat; and Skinner’s unique yeast.

Tasting Notes: The taste of the delicate floral hops trails citrus with a slight pine bitterness and leaves you with a mild biscuit taste (posh ones, not your average digestive). A perfect pairing for shellfish, Thai dishes or a double cheeseburger with fries.

Penny Come Quick 4.5 The Old Ale House - do not use

Penny Come Quick is a Cornish milk stout brewed seasonally using a fine combination of Cornish water; whole flower Northdown hops; Mount Hood hop; pale malt; crystal malt; and chocolate malt

Tasting Notes: This deep dark, smooth drinking Cornish milk stout is packed with deep flavours and your nose will pick up coffee and chocolate while your tongue will be treated to a bitter-sweetness with a touch of the florals. Try it with oysters, cured meats and the odd chocolate coin

Porthleven 4.8 Skinner's Brewery

Designed for modern palettes, our premium pale ale is a contemporary Cornish icon. Ask for a pint of this and receive an appreciative nod from St Ives to St Agnes, Perranporth to Porthleven itself!

Tasting Notes: Made with Cornish water, whole-flower Northdown, Citra and Mount Hood hops, this straw-coloured pale ale is a class act! Citrus-soaked and finishing with a shimmer of passionfruit, this zesty, hoppy combo is as fresh as Cornish sea spray on a hot day.
