99 Red Baboons 4.2 Blue Monkey Brewery

Hinckley CAMRA 2010 beer festival: overall champion

Tasting Notes: An unusual combination of fruity hoppyness with a dark, malty side. This beer is distinctly difficult to categorise – is it sort of a porter or maybe a mild? You decide!

Arran Red Sqirrel 3.9 Isle of Arran Brewery

Chestnut red session ale with a nutty aroma, toasted caramel hints and a deep malty palate. Very drinkable bitter – the malty flavours with a slight touch of hop creates a thoroughly enjoyable session beer.

Tasting Notes: Nose: An Alluring nutty aroma. Followed-up by Toasted malt, toffee, and faint hint of aniseed. Palate: Follows the nose. Toasted malt, burnt toffee, and the liquorice flavouring is prevalent. Some light floral hops linger to produce a welcomed bitterness. Appearance: Pours a dark chestnut shade, with a white head. Finish: Body is medium, oily texture with an ever so slight carbonation.

Bishops Farewell 4.6 Oakham Ales

Smooth, rich, fruity.

Tasting Notes: A golden, premium beer with a smooth, malty background, rich and fruity hop flavours and a refreshing finish.

Guardsman 4.2 Windsor and Eton Brewery

This beer is a classic English Best Bitter, brewed with premium floor malted Maris Otter and traditional whole leaf hops including Fuggles and Goldings.

Tasting Notes: A lovely copper- coloured session strength ale with a tangy taste. The distinctive hop aroma is derived from use of both late hop additions and also a hop-back.

Guerrilla 4.9 Blue Monkey Brewery

National Champion in the 2010 SIBA National Beer Competition, “Porters, Strong Milds, Old Ales & Stouts” Category.

Tasting Notes: A hearty 4.9% beer full of malty complexity balanced by a robust bitter bite.

Happy Daze 4.5 Gwynt y Ddraig Ciders
