American Pale Ale
Tasting Notes: Quick off the mark with fragrant US hop varieties, Attaboy is full of zip and swagger. It delivers powerful flavours of fresh citrus fruit and orange zest at a sessionable ABV.
Golden Ale
Tasting Notes: Blindside is a celebration of the beauty and the brawn of rugby. Using the finest English hops and barley, this 4.3% golden ale has both power and poise. Flavours of fresh citrus and red fruits are all wrapped up in a smooth malty base.
This is a traditional Best Bitter with a modern twist, with its bold, aromatic hops giving hints of peach and orange peel, plus the addition of rye imparting a pleasing, spicy character.
Tasting Notes:
They say you are only a true East Londoner if you are born within hearing distance of the chime of the Bow Bells. This beer is infused with orange and lemon zest as well as orange blossom to give a boost to the crushable citrus juiciness!
This strong mild has a dark ruby hue and a satisfying creamy head, with its generous use of dark malt providing a strong backbone to the flavour, balanced by sweet berry notes.
Lager
Tasting Notes: A kolsch style lager brewed with the Truman's original yeast to give it extra flavour. Traditional German lager hops give floral, earthy aromas and sweet smooth flavours of grape, melon and biscuit.
This mahogany coloured Baltic-style porter has real chocolate and vanilla pods, is full of rich, complex flavours, leading to a smooth mouthfeel and a balancing sweetness.
Tasting Notes: Chocolate, vanilla, sweet
Firestarter is a gutsy Red Ale. Big on hops with classic American style flavours of bold citrus peel and apricot coupled with hints of tropical fruits, this brew still manages to deliver a subtle cask ale taste you'll love.
Gunboat Smith is a tribute not only to one of the original Head Brewers but also to the strong black porter style of beer on which Old Truman’s success was built.
Tasting Notes: This is our take on the old recipe using modern techniques and hops. Deception in a glass, this beer pours black as night but has the punch of US IPA hops. The dark roasted malts bring chocolate and coffee, as you'd expect from a Porter, but the combination of American hops; Bravo and Columbus; give an underlying piney resinous hit.
Oatmeal Pale Ale
Tasting Notes: Gypsy Queen uses oatmeal in the mash and is specially dry hopped in cask for an maximum aroma. Using oatmeal gives a smooth mouthfeel and more body this paired with bright juicy orange and lemon citrus notes from the hops makes the perfect beer to welcome the warm weather.
A cinnamon, cloves, ginger and nutmeg spiced pumpkin red ale.
Very Pale Ale.
Tasting Notes: Brewed with lashing of US Hops, it is juicy and zesty, but never overpowering. Pouring a pale gold, it provides the perfect balance between flavour and refreshment.
The aim of this brew was to create a beer that was pleasing to modern palates, but one that was a nod to the place that the original Porter style has in Truman’s history.
Tasting Notes: A beautiful looking dark ruby red beer with flavours of chocolate, coffee and caramel, cut through with a slight tartness which comes from the traditional brown malt used. Like the original porter brewers, a healthy late hop addition is used – in this case Admiral and Target – to give a lovely nose of blackcurrant with a hint of spice. In essence, it’s a true Porter.
Pale Ale
Tasting Notes: A beautiful light hoppy pale ale brewed with zesty hops from New Zeland. Bold, fruity and aromatic, with aromas and flavours of lime zest and fresh floral notes. A crisp grapefruit finish makes this the perfect food pairing beer. True refreshment.

Inspired by Brazil and the Olympics this beer bursts with tropical fruit aromas for the hops. The perfect pint to cheer your team on with whatever the sporting occasion!
IPA
Tasting Notes: An american stlye IPA, brewed with the finest hops from the US and Australia. A great balance of peach, caramel with notes of stonefruit a piney underfloor and a bitter-sweet grapefruit finish.
Runner was traditionally the name of a brewery's easy drinking session beer - avaliable to everyone, everywhere. Truman's Runner is our interpretation of this custom.
Tasting Notes: Chestnut brown in colour and brewed with a complex selection of five different malts and three hops, gives a spicy, fruity aroma flavours of chocolate, orange and a smooth bitterness. Runner is packed full of flavour yet remains unashamedly easy drinking.
This mahogany coloured historic beer is a big beer, with rich flavours.
Tasting Notes: This beer has rich fruity flavours, balanced by caramel and biscuit notes, riding on a port and dark fruit undercurrent.
Named after the Victorian slang for a cyclist who was commonly understood to ride aggressively at high speeds outside of controlled races risking crashes with other riders, pedestrians, and others.
Tasting Notes: This beer got the brewers piling Amarillo into the kettle to give beautiful orange, peach and a hints of bubblegum flavour and aroma to the mix, all backed up with a rich toffee-red malt backbone.
Tasting Notes: Lip-smackingly drinkable, Swift is brewed with noble Saaz and American Cascade hops for the perfect blend of flavour and refreshment. This award winning ale is juicy, gently hoppy with light lemon and floral flavour. A firm favourite of the brewery team after a hard day’s work.
A small batch experimental beer brewed for Halloween & Bonfire Night.
Tasting Notes: Treason is laden with the best dank, piney hops from the US Coast : Centennial (super Cascade), Columbus - sometimes also known as Tomahawk - and Summit. It is also dry hopped in cask with Centennial whole leaf hops to give it an aroma bursting with pine, resin and citrus.
Australian Pale Ale
Tasting Notes: A brash and bold ‘Pacific Pale Ale’ packed full of juicy new world Australian hops. Bursting on the nose and palate with ripe melon, apricot and pineapple, this beer has a pithy grapefruit finish with fragrant floral undertones and a delicate caramel sweetness from the malts to give a rounded balance.
