This is a strong, zingy citrus ale suitable for any time of year. It is deceptively light in colour with a zesty taste and lingering hop finish.
Tasting Notes: This strong ale has aromas of toasted malt and spicy hops on the nose. It has a strong flavour balanced by a zingy hop bitterness and a long clean finish.
Brewed in Oxfordshire, using the famous Henley ‘ double-drop ’ fermentation system in Victorian copper fermentation vessels from the orignal Henley brewery.
Tasting Notes: This amber ale has a crystal malt and a well hopped bitterness in taste, which transforms into a bitter-sweet and fruity finish with a good fruit, hop and malt nose.
The beer is named after the legendary Spitfire aeroplane designed by RJ Mitchell. The versatility of the aircraft and the courage of its pilots were essential to victory and were a key symbol of the spirit of that time.
Tasting Notes: An infusion of three Kentish hops adorns this beautifully balanced, blood-orange tinted British bitter with an acutely aromatic allure. Hints of marmalade, red grapes and pepper are thrust from a springboard of warm, mellow malts. The floating fruity finish signs off with a smidgen of spice and raspberry.
