Woodlands Hotel

A child friendly pub serving food with Sky TV and WiFi in Derby.

The Woodlands, Derby, is a community pub with great food, great ales and lager and also a great atmosphere. With two separate rooms, a bar area and a lounge, we cater for everyone, from families who want a quiet meal to a bar with a jukebox, pool table, darts boards and even table-top football. Sport is also a big part of the pub, showing SKY Sports and ESPN – with our HD, you can watch two different sports in one room on the three screens. Again, for families, there is also a screen in the lounge. We also have teams in pool, darts and football, so why not come in and enjoy the great community pub which is The Woodlands. Why not come down and pay us a visit!

Drink % Brewery
Bass 4.4 Anheuser-Busch InBev

Brewed to 4.4% ABV, Bass is still brewed to an original recipe using only the finest ingredients and the experience of generations. Bass is brewed with two strains of yeast to produce a complex nutty, malty taste with subtle hop undertone.

Tasting Notes: A medium-bodied complex nutty, biscuity malt taste with roasty, caramel aromas and classic earthy, subtly floral hop notes.

Pedigree 4.5 Marstons

Pedigree. Now with added personality. They haven’t changed the taste. Just how it looks. So welcome to the new-look Pedigree, or “P” as it was first known. Strange that, looking back.

Tasting Notes: Anyway, it has a fascinating aroma, with a palate of biscuit malt, spicy hops and light fruitiness. It was renamed in a staff competition back in George Peard’s day. He was the Head Brewer at the time – that’s him on the clip. Cheers George.
