The George Hotel is believed to be the oldest existing building in Reading, dating back to at least as far as 1423. It was one of the major coaching inns between London and the West Country in the 18th century, and it still retains many of its wonderful original Coaching Inn features, including Tudor Archways and a very attractive Cobbled stone courtyard.
