The hole in the wall was a debtors prision between 1749 and 1779 and is so called due to food was passed through a hole in the wall. you walk through a leafy courtyard with a stream running through and a stuffed lion on the right just before entering the pub . the hole in the wall has a roaring fire during the winter months and eclectic memrobillia hanging from the ceiling and a beer garden with lots of hanging baskets. the hole in the wall was cornwall camra pub of the year in consective years 2015 and 2016 and sw drinks experience in 2008
