D-Balfour Arms

A pub in Sidmouth.

Built in 1938 The Balfour is Sidmouth's only purpose built pub. We offer a warm welcome to locals, visitors, families, business people and dogs and their owners, as well as everyone else! We are a large pub, a bar, a lounge bar, a restaurant, a skittle alley and large enclosed garden with play area. We are lucky to have two very talented chef's working with us, we do not believe in "Chef Mic", our food is cooked to order using fresh local ingredients. As well as our main menu we offer of a snack menu (lunchtimes only) and a selection of daily specials. We are a Cask Marque accredited pub and we pride ourselves in the quality of our ale. We also offer a wide range of ciders, spirits,wines and soft drinks. Come along and visit us and enjoy a freshly prepared meal, a cool drink and a warm welcome. Pale brown in appearance with a bitter after taste, Courage Best Bitter consumers enjoy its lower ABV of 4% that allows them the opportunity to enjoy their favourite ale for longer.

Otter Bitter 3.6 Otter Brewery

It is a beautifully light and fruity beer with good hoppy bitterness. It leaves a refreshing bitterness which prompts the next gulp.

Tasting Notes: The depth of colour in Otter Bitter’s golden brown liquid is reflective of its great condition. Fruit notes and well balanced malty flavours are tinged with a hint of bitterness to make Otter Bitter a Devon beer of distinction.
