The Royal Clarence is a welcoming bar close to the sea front on Harbour Road. It is popular with the locals, and can get very busy on Friday nights and at weekends. There is a large pool room at the rear which can be used by children, as well as an outdoor covered boules pitch. No cooked meals are served, and there are usually two real ales on offer. It has satellite sports TV, and regular live music is featured.

Tasting Notes: In the glass, Exmoor Gold is an appetising and enticing gold in colour. The nose is an interplay between a fresh bouquet of grassy and floral hop and a subtly soft, fluffy caramel-tinged maltiness. The palate sees more balance between gentle grainy maltiness and sprightly floral, citrusy fresh hop fruitiness

Premium full bodied deep golden brown ale

Tasting Notes: Jail Ale has a well rounded flavour and a rich moreish aftertaste
Otter Bitter 3.6 Otter Brewery

It is a beautifully light and fruity beer with good hoppy bitterness. It leaves a refreshing bitterness which prompts the next gulp.

Tasting Notes: The depth of colour in Otter Bitter’s golden brown liquid is reflective of its great condition. Fruit notes and well balanced malty flavours are tinged with a hint of bitterness to make Otter Bitter a Devon beer of distinction.
