The Bulls Head

A pub in Manchester.

Originally established on this very site in 1787, makes The Bulls Head one of Manchester’s oldest drinking establishments. Because of this we have worked very hard to preserve and protect our heritage and history. The result is an authentic, Victorian style British pub. No fruit machines, no televisions and no background music; just great beer, great food and great conversations; this is a real, traditional pub as we believe it should be.
So visit the Bulls Head, for great food, great beer, great laughs, real pub character, and a famously warm welcome.

Lancaster Bomber 4.4 Daniel Thwaites

Best of British! This double award winning extra special Bitter is named after the WWII airplanes that made the famous Dam buster raids.

Tasting Notes: Brewed using pale ale and crystal malts for a rich full-bodied bitter flavour with biscuit and fruit malt aromas. The finely balanced hop character is enriched by the late addition of Styrian Goldings as a dry hop in each cask to give a more prominent floral hop aroma and warming aftertaste.

Pedigree 4.5 Marstons

Pedigree. Now with added personality. They haven’t changed the taste. Just how it looks. So welcome to the new-look Pedigree, or “P” as it was first known. Strange that, looking back.

Tasting Notes: Anyway, it has a fascinating aroma, with a palate of biscuit malt, spicy hops and light fruitiness. It was renamed in a staff competition back in George Peard’s day. He was the Head Brewer at the time – that’s him on the clip. Cheers George.
