Described by esteemed beer writer Roger Protz as… “The finest blonde beer I’ve drunk in many a year”
Tasting Notes: Harvest Pale is brewed with a gently-kilned malt, and an aromatic blend of American hops added during the brewing process gives this 3.8% alc pale beer exceptional poise. Its distinct hop flavour leads to a crisp finish. Harvest Pale has firmly established itself as Castle Rock’s Flagship Beer. SIBA National Champion Bitter 2004, Champion Bitter of Britain 2007 and Champion Beer of Britain 2010.
The latest addition to the flock. Black Sheep Pale Ale is a fresh, punchy and aromatic pint inspired by the modern beer movement whilst also staying true to our British and Yorkshire brewing heritage.
Tasting Notes: Pouring crystal clear and light straw colour, Black Sheep Pale Ale is a vibrantly fresh and punchy new world pale ale with a clean white head. Aromas of freshly peeled citrus fruits rise above a delicate touch of mango. On the palate, bursts of juicy citrus dance with the pale malt to offer a beautifully clean sweetness before the fragrant hops leave a long and lasting bitter finish. We use fresh Yorkshire Dales water from our bore hole and use our Yorkshire Square fermenting vessels to give the beer a distinct, Black Sheep finish. It’s a true celebration and showcase of the modern pale ale style whilst also staying true to our British and Yorkshire brewing heritage.
A powerfully authenic IPA, Proper Job is brewed with a blend of imported American hops. It is a real treat of a beer with a growing reputation and loved by beer enthusiasts far and wide.

Light refreshing English bitter
Tasting Notes: Faintly fruity on the nose, this light amber beer sails a steady course through well-developed malt character towards a satisfying, hoppy finish. The Gales yeast brings out soft fruit flavours, while the hops impart a zesty, spicy quality to the brew.
Sea Fury takes its inspiration from the stormy Atlantic seas that crash into the rugged Cornish coast during the long, dark winter.
Tasting Notes: Sea Fury is an exceptional example of the Special Bitter beer style, offering substance and depth of flavour without compromising balance and drinkability. An aroma of inviting roasted and dark berry notes gives way to sumptuous, fruity, malty flavour and a moreish hop finish.
Tribute is an easy drinking pale ale.
Tasting Notes: Fresh, Orange, Grapefruit The zesty orange and grapefruit flavours are balanced with biscuit malt. The beer of South West sport, Tribute has high profile shirt sponsorships with Somerset and Gloucester CCCs as well as close relationships with both Football League clubs Plymouth and Exeter City. Tribute is also the Official Beer of South West Rugby and supports many rugby teams in the region with shirt sponsorships, plus it is the main sponsor of the Cornwall RFU whose teams are the current County Champions and holders of the Bill Beaumont Cup. We were also thrilled in 2015 for Tribute to be the main sponsor of Bristol Balloon Fiesta and in 2016 Tribute will again be a high profile partner of this wonderful event. All told, there is plenty to look forward to for Tribute in the coming year.
