The Star dates back from 1550 AD with extensions added around 1700 AD. The pub is situated on the peaceful and picturesque Standon High Street, opposite St. Marys Church, only a short walk to the Lordship and delightful county side, perfect for ramblers and cyclists alike.
A welcoming family run pub with a superb secluded garden, large meadow and high quality play equipment.
The restaurant uses locally sourced fresh ingredients where possible, homemade and cooked to order on the premises.
The bar boasts a range of cask ales, an excellent wine list and selection of malt whiskeys.

Tasting Notes: Very pale with delicious US Amarillo hops, which are earthily aromatic and the beer, highly drinkable.

An easy drinking, refreshing IPA with a hoppy taste, and aroma to give a clean dry finish
