Flower Pot

A dog friendly pub serving food in Henley On Thames.

The Flower Pot is a charming rural country Inn set in the beating heart of the village of Aston, yet close to Henley on Thames. The Flower Pot has an enviable position close to the River Thames and with beautiful views of the countryside. The large popular garden is a true picture in the summer, and the bar and dining areas are uniquely decorated and provide a warm and welcoming place to enjoy some wonderfully tasting food and excellently kept beer, or a good choice of fine wine. There are also three letting bedrooms, which are also very popular.

Boondoggle 4.2 Ringwood Brewery Ltd

Boondoggle delivers a hoppy aroma with a citrus punch. This followed by a well-balanced moreish fruity taste. Boondoggles unique character is a result of the use of the finest English Pale Malt, First Gold and Fuggles Hops.

Tasting Notes: Light gold, hoppy, fruit ale

Brakspear Gravity 3.4 Brakspear

Brewed in Oxfordshire, using the famous Henley ‘ double-drop ’ fermentation system in Victorian copper fermentation vessels from the orignal Henley brewery.

Tasting Notes: This amber ale has a crystal malt and a well hopped bitterness in taste, which transforms into a bitter-sweet and fruity finish with a good fruit, hop and malt nose.

Hoppleganger 4.1 Wychwood Brewery

Hops to the left of you and hops to the right. As you drink this beer you will be introduced to seven hoppelgangers, only a special few will be able to correctly identify one from another.

Tasting Notes: The aroma of exotic fruits paired with refreshing citrus hop hit make this blonde beer a double delight.

Pedigree 4.5 Marstons

Pedigree. Now with added personality. They haven’t changed the taste. Just how it looks. So welcome to the new-look Pedigree, or “P” as it was first known. Strange that, looking back.

Tasting Notes: Anyway, it has a fascinating aroma, with a palate of biscuit malt, spicy hops and light fruitiness. It was renamed in a staff competition back in George Peard’s day. He was the Head Brewer at the time – that’s him on the clip. Cheers George.
