The Kings Head & Bell

A pub serving food in Abingdon.

The Kings Head & Bell is right in the heart of the beautiful market town of Abingdon on Thames, with stylish modern touches along with its beautiful character of this 500 year old building.

A true great British pub.

We have recently undergone a refurbishment that has enhanced our pub into something that can cater for all. We can now boost a delectable Craft Beer fridge, a redesigned menu, an outdoor sports screen and artificial 3G turf. Add to this our function rooms and outdoor kitchen and you'll see why we are so proud to promote our pub!

We serve a wide range of freshly cooked, made to order dishes, using ingredients sourced from local shops and farms. We pride ourselves on our quality cask ales and premium beers as well as our extensive range of wines and champagnes.

The Kings Head & Bell is managed by Steve and supported by his professional and friendly staff. The kitchen team have grown an excellent reputation for preparing and presenting beautifully cooked meals.
Steve has a wide range of experience in the industry and very much welcomes the views of customers so why not pop in and introduce yourselves?

Sharp's Doom Bar Amber Ale 4.0 Sharp's Brewery Ltd

Doom Bar is a perfectly balanced beer combining subtle yet complex flavours, Doom Bar is both satisfying and deliciously moreish.

Tasting Notes: “The aroma of Doom Bar combines an accomplished balance of spicy resinous hop, inviting sweet malt and delicate roasted notes. The mouth feel is a perfectly balanced and complex blend of succulent dried fruit, lightly roasted malty notes and a subtle yet assertive bitterness. The bitterness remains into the finish with dry fruity notes which implore the drinker to go back for more.” Stuart Howe, Head Brewer.
