Details

First established in Wetherby in the 1840's Wharfedale Brewery was relaunched in November 2013 by a group of founder members of the Ilkley Beer Festival.

The Brewery forms part of Ilkley's first Brewpub and is housed at the The Flying Duck pub, 16 Church Street, Ilkley, which has undergone a extensive refurbishment and opened in November 2013.

Tasting Notes: A traditional chestnut coloured Yorkshire bitter.
Blonde 4.0

Refreshing, zesty, session ale

Tasting Notes: A golden straw coloured blonde session ale. English malts combine with a blend of New Zealand and American hops to create lingering citrus/grapefruit flavours and a fresh satisfying bitter finish.
Citra 4.2

Hoppy Citrus Pale Ale

Tasting Notes: A combination of Cascade and Citra leaf hops coupled with dry hopping using Citra pellets produce a smooth floral, tropical fruit flavour and a strong Citrus aroma. A zesty, hoppy. citrus pale ale.
IPA 5.5

Hoppy Indian Pale Ale

Tasting Notes: Mosaic, Simco, Nelson Sauvin, Citra, Commet and Equinox hops combine to produce an easy drinking, smooth, hoppy IPA with a strong flavour and a good bitter taste with caramel undertones.
Pale Ale 4.0

Pale Ale

Tasting Notes: A refreshing, easy drinking session ale. Fresh malt and new world hop aromas lead to a super pale beer bursting with flavour and a satisfying, lightly bittered finish.
Porter 5.0

Traditional Porter

Tasting Notes: A full bodied traditional porter. A dark, strong and rich well rounded beer, which is balanced with the late addition of Goldings hops and natural plum flavouring. Very more-ish.
