Duke of Wellington

A pub serving food in Cambridge.

The Duke of Wellington, “the Duke” or “the Welly” is a traditional pub situated in the village of Willingham, approx 7 miles from Cambridge city centre.

Run by Barry and Fran for the last 7 years, the pub (restored by them) is welcoming cosy pub consisting of two bars and eating area, large beer garden and car park.

Taking the pub over 7 years ago, it’s completely different in all aspects. Hidden beams and fireplaces have been exposed. The bar, kitchen, toilets in fact everything you see has been replaced or updated in some form or another.

Barry & Fran’s focus is to maintain the feel of a “village local” where drinkers are encouraged to try the choice of 6 real ales.. Either directly from the barrel or the hand pump or where you can come for some peace and quiet and read through the daily papers. Whilst drinking is the focus, the Duke also specialises in “Pie, mash & salads”. Their menu consists of just that.. a choice of at least 16 different pies, and 13 different salads, as well as a selection of ever changing homemade puddings and ice cream. By sticking to only 2 types of food, it means everything is as fresh as it can be. Why not come down and pay us a visit!
