A pub serving food in Chester.

The Bunbury Arms at Stoak, Chester enjoys an ideal location – just off both the M56 and the M53 and a mile from the Cheshire Oaks shopping centre at Ellesmere Port. It has its origins back in the seventeenth century as a rustic ale house serving the local farming community and over the years it has grown gradually, but always sympathetically, into the cosy and welcoming place it is today. The beer that made us famous, our Joseph Holt Bitter. Pours a deep amber with a creamy head encompassing full bitterness with a dry malt base.

Tasting Notes: A full drinking and original cask bitter that is rich in both colour and taste. Pours a clear amber, almost ruby, colour with creamy white head. It has a mild fruity and woody aroma, with berry undertones. Drinks smooth with a woody, malty and slightly peppery taste with a hint of floral hops.

Old Golden Hen 4.1 Greene King PLC

Tasting Notes: Light Gold in colour with a subtle tropical taste and smooth finish.

Sharp's Doom Bar Amber Ale 4.0 Sharp's Brewery Ltd

Doom Bar is a perfectly balanced beer combining subtle yet complex flavours, Doom Bar is both satisfying and deliciously moreish.

Tasting Notes: “The aroma of Doom Bar combines an accomplished balance of spicy resinous hop, inviting sweet malt and delicate roasted notes. The mouth feel is a perfectly balanced and complex blend of succulent dried fruit, lightly roasted malty notes and a subtle yet assertive bitterness. The bitterness remains into the finish with dry fruity notes which implore the drinker to go back for more.” Stuart Howe, Head Brewer.
