White Swan Spondon

A pub with Sky TV in Derby.

The White Swan is a two room community pub in Spondon, a ward within the city of Derby. Prior to this, Spondon was a separate village which dated from before the Domesday Book of 1086. You can find the pub easily travelling on the A52, 'Borrowash by-pass' recently named Brian Clough Way, which cuts through the village and provides express road (dual-carriageway) links to the west (Derby) and the east (M1 and Nottingham). The pub recently won the village's coveted Spondon-In-Bloom title and it's easy to see why should you happen across it during the hot weather in the summer months. The pub looks great as you walk up Moor Street in the village and it dominates the street. The pub offers a range of cask ales, draught lagers, bottled ciders and world wines. Whether it's a quiet pint you're after or a party will depend on what day of the week you go in, the pub is very versatile and knows how to treat it's locals.
