The Market House is a family run public house and carvery situated in the heart of Bridport, you are offered a very warm welcome with the highest of standards. All of our food is locally sourced where possible from award winning establishments in the area and we pride ourselves in offering you great home cooked food, complemented by great cask ales, continental lagers, fine wines and fresh ground Italian coffee.

200 5.0 Palmers Brewery

This premium ale originated in 1994 to celebrate 200 years of brewing at Palmers. Malty flavours with just enough hop make this mahogany coloured ale the flagship of the brewery.

Tasting Notes: Rich and full-bodied, mahogany coloured premium ale

The Dorset Pale 4.0 Palmers Brewery

Deliciously hoppy and brewed using a blend of the finest Maris Otter and Munich Malts, with Citra aroma hops to give a hint of grapefruit on the nose. Dorset Pale is filtered, lightly carbonated and served chilled, making this keg session ale very drinkable indeed.

Cruzcampo 4.4 Heineken

Cruzcampo is a pilsner style Spanish lager founded in Seville in 1904. Brewed with subtle hoppy notes, fruity characteristics and finished with Cruzcampo bitterness. It’s a fresh, crisp, easy drinking beer and a favourite amongst Spanish locals.

Tasting Notes: 

Birra Moretti 4.6 Heineken

The ultimate Italian lager since 1859, Birra Moretti’s special blend of high quality hops creates a smooth, full bodied beer with wholemeal bread top notes which are cut by a delicate citrus note.

Tasting Notes: It is a bottom fermented beer with a golden colour. This colouring is a result of the type of malt used in brewing. Its alcohol content is 4.6% alcohol by volume. It is not a strong beer and is therefore perfect for drinking at lunch, at dinner or for evenings out with friends

Amstel 4.1 Heineken

Our classic, golden Amstel Beer, with its very distinctive and mildly bitter taste, has over the years become well known beyond the borders of its native country.

Tasting Notes: 

Guinness Draught 4.2 Diageo

Rich and creamy. Distinctive, Ruby Red colour. Velvety in its finish. This iconic beer was developed in 1959 and launched as a celebration of the 200 years anniversary of Arthur Guinness signing his 9,000-year lease.

A crisp and vibrant cider crafted from apples sourced exclusively from orchards in Dorset.

A crisp naturally cloudy cider made with traditional cider apples sourced from orchards in West Dorset blended with a proportion of dessert apples to create a hazy cider bursting with fresh, crisp apple flavours.

A traditional still cider with a distinctive full flavour and refreshing bite, typical of artisan West Country ciders. First Press is crafted from cider apples sourced exclusively from orchards in Dorset.
