Welcome to the Gardeners Arms, where you’ll always receive a warm welcome from our team, led by Mike & Wendy Wakeman. We’re a friendly, family-run Free House just north of Cheltenham in the beautiful Cotswold village of Alderton.
Come and sample our freshly produced, home cooked food with our daily specials including fresh fish and local game bird. We have a variety of vegetarian options available and if you have a specific dietary requirement, just contact us and we’ll be happy to help.
Fancy eating at home without the hassle of cooking? Why not try our takeaway service available seven days a week? We also offer off-licence sales of all our beers and ales as well as on selected wines and soft drinks.
Throughout the month, we run many events such as the monthly quiz, weekly bingo, theme nights and seasonal special events. We’re a popular meeting place for local clubs, societies, walkers, bikers and cyclists and our restaurant often hosts functions including weddings, christenings, business meetings and wakes.
We have a large, free car park, disabled access, large beer garden with boules area, darts board and other traditional bar games including poker, dominoes and even a Wii for the kids. The pub itself is beautiful 16th Century thatched country pub with many features such as an original well. Children and dogs are welcome and we look forward to seeing you soon.
