At the heart of the Cotswolds, The Fleece at Cirencester is the perfect base for exploring Tetbury, Bourton-on-the-water or Cheltenham, and further afield to Oxford, Stratford-Upon-Avon and Bath.
The town's Corinium Museum is well known for its extensive Roman collection. The Roman name for the town was Corinium, which is thought to have been associated with the ancient British tribe of the Dobunni. The earliest reference to the town was by Ptolemy in AD 150.
Located in the centre of the bustling market town, The Fleece is a characterful inn full of history. The inn has gone through a lot of changes since it joined the small, but fast growing collection of inns; Thwaites Inns of Character in 2011.
All 28 guest rooms are furbished to a high standard, yet still maintain many of the original and quirky features that you would expect from a 17th century building.
Also a a very popular base in the Cotswolds for weekends away and mini breaks thanks to our reputation for locally sourced food, a fantastic range of real ales, charming and characterful setting and award winning service.
