The George & Dragon date’s back to 1818 and was known as the St George’s Tavern, becoming the George & Dragon in 1851. We are now well-known for our Cask Marque accredited cask ales and a good selection of wines and spirits. Small, but comfortable and friendly public house with the benefit of an open fire, wi-fi, tv, food and music, parking and a large outside drinking area to the rear with stunning views of the castle and Priory Church.

Dark 3.8 Otter Brewery

At 3.8%, Otter Dark is a traditionally dark brown session beer with a soft mouth feel. The wide range of floor malted barleys deliver a substantial malty base flavour with balanced bitterness from the roast barley.

Tasting Notes: A traditional mild with a twist. Hopped with an American hop to give a floral blackcurrant hint to balance the predominate Roast Barley flavour.
Dirty Rucker 3.9 Wadworth Brewery

A bold English ale, fruity on the palate with a malty sweetness that leads to a peppery note for a smooth finish. A great beer to enjoy while watching the six nations.
