The Walrus and The Carpenter

A child friendly pub serving food with Sky TV and WiFi in Monument.

You will find The Walrus and The Carpenter in Monument London within a short stroll of Lower Thames St, London Bridge and Great Tower Street - however you won't find another like it.

Step in to discover a traditional pub of unique character, revered for its eclectic range of real ales and its quality pub food, which are served, as they should be, with a generous measure of famous British hospitality.

The Walrus and The Carpenter takes its name from a poem by Lewis Carroll. The verse is recited by Tweedledum and Tweedledee in 'Through The Looking Glass'. We stand in the shadow of history, in view of The Monument to commemorate the Great Fire of London. The column's height marks the distance to the site of Thomas Farynor's bakery in Pudding Lane where the fire began.

The Walrus and The Carpenter is one of many rare gems in the Nicholson's collection of great British pubs, reputed for their distinctive buildings, intriguing history and vibrant atmosphere.
