Toby Carvery Thorplands

A pub serving food in Northampton.

When it comes to roast dinners, we really know our stuff. Every day our chefs lay on a feast of tender, hand-carved meats with all the trimmings – including towering Yorkshire puds, golden roasties with all those lovely little crunchy bits, and plenty of freshly prepared veg, all crowned with proper gravy. So it's no wonder we're Round Spinney's favourite carvery restaurant.

Pedigree 4.5 Marstons

Pedigree. Now with added personality. They haven’t changed the taste. Just how it looks. So welcome to the new-look Pedigree, or “P” as it was first known. Strange that, looking back.

Tasting Notes: Anyway, it has a fascinating aroma, with a palate of biscuit malt, spicy hops and light fruitiness. It was renamed in a staff competition back in George Peard’s day. He was the Head Brewer at the time – that’s him on the clip. Cheers George.

Young’s Bitter 3.7 Young & Co.'s Brewery PLC

Young’s Bitter shares the heritage of 175 years of brewing expertise. Today Young’s Bitter one of the fastest growing standard cask beers in England and Wales.

Tasting Notes: A refreshing ale, golden in colour, with a light, dry palate, a fresh, fruity aroma and a long, satisfying bitter finish.
