Situated in the heart of the small country market town of Church Stretton, Shropshire, The Bucks Head is adjacent to the town car park and on the door step of local shops and services. Just a few minutes walk away is The Long Mynd, a vast area of hills and moor land, much of it belonging to The National Trust.
The Bucks Head has four first floor letting rooms all of which are en-suite and have tea/coffee making facilities together with radio alarms, hairdryer, full length mirrors and television.
The Bucks Head bar opens at 11:00 a.m. and is open until midnight Sunday - Thursday and until 01:00 a.m. Friday and Saturday. Meals are served throughout the pub and with up to four real ales plus popular lagers and bottled beers, a good wine list and good service, The Bucks is one of the best pubs in the area.
The restaurant at The Bucks Head offers a good range of meals using where possible local fresh meat, poultry and vegetables and also offers a full breakfast menu for staying guests including a full English breakfast.

This premium cask ale has a strong following throughout the country. Courage Directors was originally brewed exclusively for the Directors of the Alton brewery, but following public demand, the beer was made available to the public.

Wainwright 4.1 Wainwright

An exquisitely, golden ale, named after Alfred Wainwright, the renowned Lakeland author who was born in Blackburn.

Tasting Notes: Wainwright is a refreshing golden ale with subtle sweetness from the Maris Otter malts and the special mix of hops give a delicate citrus fruit overtone. Voted World’s Best Golden Ale at the World Beer Awards.
