Coopers Tavern

A pub serving food in Burton upon Trent.

Mary Bagley came to the Coopers in August 2006 with her children Cassie and Dale. Mary arrived to take on her first role as landlady fresh from working in numerous pubs in the Bathams Estate. During her time at the pub Mary has stuck to her philosophy of keeping things 'real' including a constantly changing range of cask ales and ciders. This has seen the pub (and Mary) scoop CAMRA awards for both beer and cider.

Drink % Brewery
Bass 4.4 Anheuser-Busch InBev

Brewed to 4.4% ABV, Bass is still brewed to an original recipe using only the finest ingredients and the experience of generations. Bass is brewed with two strains of yeast to produce a complex nutty, malty taste with subtle hop undertone.

Tasting Notes: A medium-bodied complex nutty, biscuity malt taste with roasty, caramel aromas and classic earthy, subtly floral hop notes.

DCUK 4.3 Dancing Duck Brewery

A great aroma and powerful upfront hoppy bitterness give way to an explosion of citrus and pine flavours. A full on hop attack not for the faint hearted!

Tasting Notes: Citrus, pine, hoppy

Pride & Joy 5.3 Vocation Brewery

Pride & Joy is pale, crisp, very hoppy and aromatic. Robust hop flavours are layered over a balanced malty backbone.

Tasting Notes: Initially soft to the palate, Pride & Joy builds to a generous, but clean bitterness. Flavours and aromas of mango, citrus, earthy pine, tropical fruit & blueberry.

Slumbering Monk 4.5 Joules Brewery

Deep copper in colour, full bodied with malty and nutty fullness, hints of caramel giving it a round, soft, satisfying smoothness.

Tasting Notes: Malty, nutty, caramel
